About Me
About Us
Welcome to Montessori in Real Life! I’m Theresa. I am a pacific northwest native, mama of two, wife to my amazing partner, arts and crafter, outdoors adventurer, and lover of all things sweet. Prior to being a full-time mama, most of my career has been spent in school and caring other people's young children. I got my graduate degree in developmental psychology and then my AMS certification in infant/toddler Montessori education. During and after getting my certification, I co-taught in a Montessori toddler classroom and led Montessori parent-infant classes. I miss teaching but I feel so lucky to get to incorporate Montessori at home with my own two children, and to share with all of you as well.
On this blog, I hope to capture the good, the bad, and all the in between in this motherhood journey, with a Montessori emphasis throughout. Though Montessori guides my parenting style, I always keep an open mind as to what works for our children, and for our family. Sometimes we just have to go with our instinct. :) Welcome to Montessori in Real Life!
